One of the most common complaints among coffee drinkers is that the caffeine can disturb their sleep. This result has been known for thousands of years and is, in fact, one of the reasons why many drink coffee in the first place: to stay awake.

Some coffee drinkers, on the other hand, say that their sleep is as peaceful as ever, without regard for their coffee consumption. And without statistics proof, who can refute their testimony? Although it is visible that caffeine is affecting every one of us in different tactics, it is similarly fascinating to notice that we often do not know how coffee is influencing our system and, thus, we will not appraise what's going down to our sleep. Subjects in several studies show that often coffee drinkers do not have the least idea what a good night's sleep is all about - so rarely have they not long ago had one.

This denial, asserts the analyst, braces the clinical impression that plenty of coffee drinkers simply don't attribute unattractive clinical symptoms to their caffeine intake. This situation illuminates one of the insidious sides of coffee obsession : we regularly are not aware of how it is affecting us. Studies regularly exhibit that respondents announced that, when they give up coffee, they experienced improved energy levels produced by better, more calm sleep. What's more extraordinary is they thought they'd been getting a good night's sleep before they give up drinking coffee. In short,coffee is spoiling the sleep of millions of Yanks - and they don't even know it.
